Creative Office Space in
Santa Monica & West LA

A former Gehry studio on Cloverfield, another creative building nearby, a West LA campus and a full-floor option on Main Street. Four addresses, with different reasons to choose each one.

The address should work for the team before the architecture wins you over. Cloverfield puts you near the E Line's 26th St/Bergamot station. Main Street puts a full-floor office near Santa Monica's shops and the ocean. Westgate is a campus in West LA near Expo/Bundy. Start with the commute, parking needs and kind of floor you can actually use.

How the locations differ

Cloverfield / Bergamot: 1520 and 1447 Cloverfield sit in the same Santa Monica corridor. The appeal is proximity to the E Line and two different building characters, not a promise that the same suite size is available in both.

Main Street or West LA: 1918 Main Street is the full-floor choice in a walkable Santa Monica setting. Westgate Media Park is a larger campus at Armacost Avenue. Ask for current floor plans and parking terms before comparing either with a Cloverfield space.

The Cloverfield / Bergamot corridor

These two buildings are close enough to tour on the same trip, but they are not interchangeable. Ask for the current plans at each address and pay attention to daylight, access, acoustics and where your team would meet clients.

1520 Cloverfield is the former headquarters of Frank O. Gehry & Associates — the firm's home for roughly twenty-five years, and a building Gehry himself redesigned in 1987, wrapping its 1960s brick shell in sand-blasted stainless-steel canopies: the vocabulary he would later use at the Guggenheim Bilbao and Walt Disney Concert Hall. The full history is here.

1447 Cloverfield is another creative-office option in the corridor, within walking distance of the station. Tour the actual space before deciding whether its layout fits your work.

Touring creative office space here

Lee & Associates West LA handles leasing. Tell them your approximate headcount, target area and move date. That is enough to narrow the buildings worth touring without pretending an old web page is a live inventory sheet.

On the tour, ask which rooms are included in the offered premises, what improvements would require approval, how parking is allocated and what the quoted rent includes. If you need recording, editing or frequent deliveries, test the actual suite for sound, power, connectivity and loading. Get the answers and current terms in writing.

Send your size and timing. Leasing can confirm which spaces are worth seeing now.

Frequently asked questions

Which Santa Monica building should I tour first?

For the Cloverfield/Bergamot corridor, compare 1520 and 1447 Cloverfield. For a full-floor setting near Main Street and the ocean, look at 1918 Main. Current availability may narrow the choice.

What is different about Westgate Media Park?

Westgate is a West LA campus at 2036–2048 Armacost Avenue, near Expo/Bundy. Ask for the current space list, floor plans and written parking terms; its campus setting is different from the Santa Monica buildings.

Can I reach the Cloverfield buildings by rail?

1520 and 1447 Cloverfield are within walking distance of the E Line's 26th St/Bergamot station. Check the route from your team's actual starting points before treating transit as a deciding factor.

What should a production team check on a tour?

Ask about the offered suite's acoustics, electrical capacity, internet options, access and deliveries. A building's creative-office label does not verify that a particular room works for recording or finishing.

How do I get current availability?

Send the leasing team your approximate size, preferred location and move date. Request a current floor plan and written terms for any space you want to compare.
